Privacy notice

This notice explains how Eastwood House uses personal information when you visit this website or contact us. We follow UK data protection law: the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

Eastwood House is run by Forthmeadow Limited (company number 04379888). We are responsible for the personal information described in this notice.

This website

This website does not set any cookies and does not use analytics or any other tracking. It has no forms.

The only thing it loads from another website is the official rating widget from the Care Quality Commission (CQC), which shows our latest CQC rating. To show it, your browser connects to the CQC website, which receives your IP address and browser details, as any website you visit does. CQC’s privacy notice covers this.

Like any website, the company that hosts it may keep standard server records, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and when you visit. These records are used only to keep the website secure and working.

Some links take you to other websites, such as the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and Google Maps. Those websites have their own privacy notices.

When you contact us

When you phone, email or write to us, for example to arrange a visit or ask about a place, we keep what you tell us. This is usually your name, your contact details and what you ask about.

If you tell us about someone’s health or care needs, such as a relative who may come to live here, we use that information only to talk to you about their care.

We use this information to answer you and to help you decide whether Eastwood House is right for you or your relative. We do this because it is in our legitimate interest to respond to people who contact us, and to take the steps you ask for before a place is agreed. We use health information only as needed to provide health or social care.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for marketing. We share it only with companies that run our phone, email and IT services for us, or where the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only for as long as we need it to deal with what you asked. We keep it longer only if you or your relative become a resident, or if the law requires it.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
  • ask us to correct it
  • ask us to delete it
  • object to how we use it, or ask us to limit how we use it

To use any of these rights, contact us using the details above. We will reply within one month.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have used your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
